Good to know

Everything at a glance

In this statement you can read which data Palm Crest Curaçao processes via this website, for what purpose and for how long. This English translation is provided for convenience; in case of any difference, the Dutch version prevails.

Who we are

Palm Crest Curaçao offers apartments, car rental and local services on Curaçao. For questions about the use of your personal data, you can contact us via info@palmcrestcuracao.com or +5999 682 1100. Our visiting address is Brakkeput Abou 150–151, Jan Thiel, Curaçao.

When you contact us or request a stay

We use the details you enter to answer your question and discuss your travel wishes. This concerns your name and email address, and possibly your phone number and your notes. For a stay request, we also use your travel dates, the number of travellers and your preference for an apartment or car. Do not enter passport, driving licence or payment details in the form.

Your request is not yet a confirmed reservation. You will receive a confirmation of receipt and we will contact you personally. Your request is stored securely in our website management and is automatically deleted after 90 days. We only keep email about your request for as long as is necessary to handle your question.

Services we use

SiteJob provides the hosting and technical management of this website. The confirmation of receipt and the notification of your request are sent via Google’s email service. We do not use your form data for visitor measurement or recordings.

For a rental car, a link takes you to our booking environment at HQ (palm-crest-car-rental.caagcrm.com). Only when you open that link do you visit that external service. The terms and privacy information of that service apply there.

Form security (Cloudflare Turnstile)

To stop spam through the forms, we use Cloudflare Turnstile from Cloudflare, Inc. Turnstile only loads on pages with a request or contact form and checks whether a human or a bot is submitting. Usually you will not notice anything; sometimes we ask you to tick a box. For this, Cloudflare processes your IP address, a technical fingerprint of the secure connection (TLS), your browser details (user agent) and the website on which the form is located. Cloudflare does this on our behalf; in addition, Cloudflare uses these signals as a controller to improve its bot detection. The content of your request is not sent to Cloudflare. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in preventing misuse of the form. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. More information can be found in the Turnstile privacy statement.

Map (Mapbox)

On the apartment pages you can show a map of the surroundings. Only when you click “Show map” does your browser load the map from Mapbox Inc. (United States). Mapbox then receives your IP address, browser details and the requested map areas, collects limited usage data and stores a technical key in your browser for this purpose (mapbox.eventData). We only remember during your visit that you wanted to see the map. More information can be found in the Mapbox privacy policy.

Cookies and browser storage

This website only uses technical cookies and browser storage that are necessary for it to work. After you submit a form, the cookie palmcrest_aanvraag_browser links your request to the confirmation page in your browser. That cookie expires after one day, and the confirmation page is available for up to two hours in the same browser. If you show the map, we remember that choice during your visit in palmcrest-kaart (sessionStorage). Mapbox then stores a technical key in mapbox.eventData (localStorage). We do not use cookies for visitor measurement, advertising or recordings.
